There were about a dozen fans of Saddam at the event Friday. What genii. Their chant of the day was, "Bliar, bliar, pants on fire." Get it? It's clever, you see, because they've switched the letters in Blair's name. As I heard someone say, "Ok, I've changed my mind about the war after hearing that persuasive argument." (Sorry for the lousy picture. My hands were frozen and I couldn't be bothered to try again.)

I just thought the spelling was a typo. I remember once marching against something or other in Quebec when I went to Cegep Ste Foy (given the timing, it was probably anti Vietname War). Since I was the lone anglophone in the march, they gave me the sign with the typo. I thought the same thing had happened to some poor immigrant campaigning for some cause that Blair supported.

It's a great photo! But yeah, I was expecting a little more from the mob. Maybe they were too cold too.
