It isn't Iran, and this isn't 1979. That is true. But it also isn't Berlin and this isn't 1989. I think the Western media is misreading this, to some degree. I worry that there is too much euphoria about it (particularly among Israel-haters), but also too much fear.
You know, I once had a writing prof who told me to never end a news story with, "Only time will tell." But regarding Egypt, only time will tell.
How's that for a cop-out, dear readers?
