Sorry, dear readers. Occasionally, I have to say something about my absurd country. Ok, supposedly we are going to have an election. And I'm paying (a teeny bit of) attention to the House of Commons this morning. And the Russian just said something about how we have to choose between "jets or jails." Really? Why? Surely we can afford both, yes? It reminds me of those dopey anti-war protesters who stood outside the U.S. consulate just after 9-11 (very sensitive of them to pick on the victim) holding placards that said, "Homes, not bombs." Well again, surely we can afford both?
