Ok, so, due to DSK I've been watching a lot of Frog TV today (real French, not Quebecois) and I am rather impressed with something. I lived in France as a very young woman (from 1986 -1991) and have been back as a visitor in the interim. And one thing has changed -- French television now has a heck of a lot more minorities than in days of yore. Hell -- any would be more than they used to have. They've got black anchors and correspondents who have Maghrebin names. Their man in NYC, for example, is named Karim Something-or-Other. This is a good thing.
Ironically, one anchor I used to watch was Anne Sinclair, a.k.a Mme. DSK.
