As I tweeted the other day, I was for gay marriage before Obama was for it before he was against it before he was for it again. And I've been for it all along.
That said, it is great that he publically supports it, I think. But a) as president, he can't do anything about it, anyway. It is a states' rights thing, as I understand the American system; and, b) I deeply, deeply resent his claiming he had his epiphany after talking to gay servicemen and women. Obama, as we know, has no respect for the military and especially for American military power. So there is something blatantly cynical about his comments.
But that is The Great Windbag, isn't it?
