I really enjoyed this film -- it's rather hard on Sarkozy, of whom I am fond, but in fairness, it is hard on everyone in it. I was particularly pleased to see how bad it makes Dominique de Villepin look, because I have never been able to bear the guy. The actor who plays Chirac is extraordinary -- captures the old devil's oiliness and speech cadences perfectly. What I loved most was that it shows something I've long said: contrary to what we believe in North America, the French do care about the private lives of their leaders and their leaders worry as much about scandals involving lovers and divorce and all that fun as much as anyone over here.
And, of course, the best thing about this movie is that you get to hear real French spoken. Such a lovely language when not spoken by French-Canadians.

I don't know how you can say that about Dominique as he has GREAT HAIR. It's almost Justinesque.
