I've always thought Romeo Dallaire was overrated and I've long failed to understand the esteem in which he is held by the left. I mean, he stood by while the most atrocious things were happening and did little or nothing to stop them. I do feel compassion for the man because I feel his ineptitude/lack-of-courage did not come out of a malevolent place. And I'm certain he pays the price each day for his flaws. But as I said, he has been given a pass, where other military leaders -- superior ones -- have not.

So I can't wait to read Lewis Mackenzie's book. One of the high points of the past few years for me was receiving a glowing email from Mackenzie about a column I wrote.

For the first time since Sinatra, music-buyers show actual good taste!

Wartime leader Winston Churchill became the first British Prime Minister ever to enter the pop charts when an album featuring some of his most famous speeches set to music debuted in fourth place on Sunday.

The album Reach For The Skies was recorded by the Central Band of the Royal Air Force (RAF) to mark the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, a crucial air campaign fought between British and German forces in 1940.
